Jamaican Church
My wife and I went on a mission trip recently to Jamaica with a group of doctors, nurses and pharmacists. Both of us were doing photo coverage and I was shooting video and video interviews. The trip was organized through the Issa Trust Foundation, http://issatrustfoundation.com/ to benefit children in Jamaica. The doctors held clinics and averaged 175 children a day with health care.
During one of our visits the Islington Health Centre in Jamaica, we had a short break. One of the Jamaican support staff had told about us an old church within short walking distance. He said I may like it because he thought it would be a great area to take photos. When a short break came up in the clinic, the Jamaican staff person took a handful of us to the church.
The following photos are from the quick 10 minute photo coverage of the area. An area that I could have spent an hour or more photographing closeups and more landscapes. We finished taking the tour of the area and then headed back to the clinic. Most of the photos shown are of the older church, with the newer structure in the background of the photos.
The subject matter is so much more important than the photographer.
