So how does one stay creative in between client projects? I had just finished a couple larger projects in the studio and now have a little time on my hands before the next project comes in. I wanted to do some studio photos. Photos that would look great as large prints for clients’ and friends’ bare walls. Should it be food, or some other items that we have around the house? Then one afternoon taking a walk in our backyard, I saw a white piece of paper laying in the grass. I picked it up wondering who would throw away a wrapper in our back yard. As I looked at the piece of paper it became quickly apparent it was a leaf. A bright white leaf. I looked around at our trees and bushes in our back acre of land and was trying to figure out what bush or tree it came from. BTW, I still don’t know and I’m not a horticulturist. I’m sure someone will see the leaves in the following photos and know each leaf’s origin. A few I know, maple tree leaf….um, uh, maple tree leaf. Anyway, this became a personal project of arranging leaves on different backgrounds and testing my creativity.
Hope you enjoy a the following images.
After I looked through my images I came up with some other ideas for the leaves. That will be for a later post.
Thank you for stopping by!
