The last post was about the Rollins Mansion and the twilight photos I had taken. This post will show the interior and some images of events at the mansion. The Rollins Mansion was built in Des Moines, Iowa in 1925 to 1927 by Ralph Rollins, owner of Rollins Hosiery Mills. It was designed by local architects Byron Boyd and Herbert Moore. Those architects also designed the Salisbury House located in Des Moines. The Rollins family spared no expense when they designed the home, from the 16th century ship beams and ceiling beams from the inn where William Shakespeare performed to the stained glass designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The following images are from various events at the Rollins Mansion showing the interior, courtyard and the large deck. What a great place to have an dinner, wedding or any gathering, large or small.
